It has absolutely amazing worldbuilding/lore with a huge scope, awesome music, and a plot that brings it all together. if you like that sort of thing, you will probably like Xenogears a lot.
but the first 20 hours are super slow and vague, and there is more text than macbeth. also, the PS1 3d can get ugly and pixelated, but the graphical design has soul. the game has some great moments, but you have to put in quite a bit of effort to get there.
