Ever play Phantasy Star 2 or 4? 2 is my favorite but is hard to get into (some grinding, have to draw maps, only way to find out what a tech does is to use it in different situations). 4 is more accessible. Both have epic stories.

Phantasy Star 2 and 4, Earthbound, Mother 3, Riviera, and Skies of Arcadia

I love this game, I really do I've must have replayed it atleast 20 times now since I first played it in 95.

To me it is the perfect example of high fantasy, the most perfect blend of magic and technology without being overbearing, I feel that way as a whole for the original phantasy star quadralogy but this is the crown jewel of the series

I hope that some day I'll be able to develop something half as good as this series, as it's that inspiring to me.
