I still feel the pain of not being able save her over 20 years later. I will never stop feeling this pain.
I was so hyped to see her in the Wii SH "re-imagining." It fucking sucked.

I was 13 when I played through it for the first time. It was the most engrossing experience I'd had in a video game up to that point. I was so invested not only in the gameplay but the story, too. I enjoyed 2 but not like I enjoyed 1. Are Shattered Memories, 3 or any of the others worth playing?

I tried a million times to pick up the distilled water because you were supposed to use it to build a bomb to blow a wall and get outside and high jack that ambulance in the OP and use it to leave Silent Hill with Lisa before she....you know.
Also believed with my whole heart that I could save or at least resurrect Aerith in FFVII. I tried A LOT of things. Something about the Desert Rose and winning a fuckload of battles. It was a lot of work and it didn't work.
...Why couldn't I save them, bros?

It's been 20 years.
I was a 12 year old girl.
She was my favorite character. Every time I ran into her, I was so happy.
And, as it happened, I couldn't believe it. I didn't believe it.
Harry just...stepped away. He fucking stepped away. He left the fucking room, I tried and tried to go back in but Harry wouldn't.
I lost faith in Harry at that moment. And I cried.
Silent Hill was a hard game for me to finish, but not because of the difficulty level.
