Correction, Bobby did the sound design for the Arch-Vile, the rest of the monster design was a joint effort with Adrian and Sandy (who is a huge Lovecraft nerd, bless his heart) as well as the talented Gregor Punchatz who made the posable metal/latex model after Adrian's design.

Bobby hit the nail on the head with the sound design though, fits the monster perfectly, and I bet everyone was very pleased with the results.

The finished result is one of the scariest vidya mofos of his time.

Since you think graphical limitations are the problem, have the original model of the Arch-vile for reference. Still doesn't look very similar if you ask me.
