I quit videogames around its time, but still wished most of its competitors also got the games it had since they tend to have better video output. There were still lots of great games released at the time which appealed to me but money got tight, so I could only get a few of the many great games on it.

I think the Virtua Fighter games are best in Japan since no one outside the country enjoys the games. I remember the VF3 machine was pretty much the partition that separated the Tekken Tag cabinet from the Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 cabinet for all the audience and players waiting their turn on those games. The few times anyone would try the game, would get threatened to be robbed or beat up thus leaving the game. The PS2 had a few great Virtua Fighter games on it, exclusive was the 10th Anniversary which is VF1 in Japan, VF4 did get released on the PS2 as well but that managed to go stateside but couldn't garner the audience either.

I hardly ever see anyone on this board mention Popotan. It is very Japanese and kind of unknown these days. The intro alone is a gem: https://youtu.be/Iv_dDnSFbMo

It was just their mitigations against COVID-19 and the added issues hosting an unpopular Olympic games which has it locked down. I did read they are starting to allow some test tourists with triple vaccinations get in now, which is great news.

Give Garouden a try. My friends and I had tons of fun playing the game which stays true to the comic source material drawn by the guy who did Grappler Baki (which was an awful early PS2 game which does not live up to the comic like Garouden does).

It is definitely a top 10 favorite home game console for me. There's always something interesting to find and play.

Fiona has the attributes that I look for in a good Capcom game. Plus it is interestingly different by mechanics with Hewie.

I really liked some of the other games in the series, and it is not that bad. It was worth the try for me.

That was a forgotten game at one time. Amazed to see more appreciate it.

Wait a minute, that card.

It is charming by premise alone. A cool visual style to boot.
