I guess at worse it is a case of "aged poorly" as no one would actually pick it up to play now. I did like it enough to get the games signed by the character designers.

I did, but no 3D accelerator card. Having the game on PS already meant I wasn't going to take the extra effort at that time to get it again for PC (as I didn't know anyone who had it to make a copy). The PS game was good enough to me to stick with it.

I guess when everyone around me hates sports games, as with most I speak to about games, I tend to be the outlier that enjoys them [yes, I know it should be "gustan"].

Even with the better graphics of the SNES. I always preferred the look and feel of the NES version of Tecmo Super Bowl. The SNES version does have the QB sneak play mapped to a button, but that's it to me.

I only played the Genesis/Mega Drive versions through emulation and again they feel like more steps down from the SNES version.

The somewhat recent Kia commercials featuring Tecmo Bowl does remind me how much I like the NES Tecmo Super Bowl.

I suppose the price may be affected with modern equivalents. Shooting games, RPGs, and action/platformers appear to be expensive now while sports, board, shovelware titles may be on the lower end of prices in general. There are plenty of exceptions as each game genre can vary wildly in price. Also it may be more noticable with low priced sport titles due to quantity available.

You guys make me feel bad as I enjoy sports games since the 8bit days. I still enjoy playing them.

It's hard to pick, I like a lot of sports games for different reasons. I enjoy watching live basketball, American football, MMA, etc. but I appreciate each as their own games with their own kind of rules, similar to how I can enjoy shooting games and JRPGs, can be different but enjoyable in many ways. That's why I cannot ever pick "best" things.

That being said, since I am not a hockey fan, but remembered NES Ice Hockey was pretty fun on a demo kiosk for the NES. I had the crazy thought that I should try out some hockey games and maybe learn the game, and I recently got NHL '94 for the Sega CD, but I should also get that NES Ice Hockey and Blades of Steel, maybe even the Wayne Gretsky's 3D one on N64. I hear the lolicon's favorite parts of hockey is before the first period.

I could always come back to this game all the time. Very fun. I have lost nights instead of sleeping just going through a season.

It's always strange for me to hear people not like sports games when I find a lot of fun to be had with them.

I enjoy non-/vr/ as much as I enjoy /vr/.

I actually like sports games.

Despite having all the ROMs from torrents , a couple of Everdrives, and recently some Chinese bootlegs, I still want the real things but cannot afford them.

I do. They're pretty enjoyable, and can make me stay awake overnight.

Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Super Bowl essentially taught me the basics of American football back in the day. As an experiment, I was hoping maybe I could learn hockey (since I am not a fan of the sport) and recently got NHL '94 for the SegaCD, I have not attempted to play it in earnest yet.

I actually like non-retro games as much as retro games. (I am hype as fuck for Wild Guns Reloaded and Sonic Mania)

Sports games are pretty fun to me.

Poster >>3679197 is mirror dimension me, aside from beating classics. I wish I had the energy to muster up and play more in my backlog.

Forgive me white mage, but I must return to the stocks with my wageslave punishment.

Sports games are some of my most favorite games. I know I have more, just can't think of any more at the moment.
