My cousin was actually shot in the back playing KOF2002.
It was a much shabbier place than that arcade. The machine was outside a meter away from the gutter. A guy in a motorcyle stopped by and shot him twice in the back. He was 14 and the guy mistook him for another guy, an adult criminal. He survived without long term consequences.
I also actually once saw someone who had been knifed literally walk into a hospital bleeding profusely and leaving the entrance floor exactly like that.
