So a friend kindly bought me the first CRT I've owned in about 9 years. It's Sony KV-29X5U and I've been trying out some of my old consoles with it but have a small issue. As you can see from pic related (sorry for the shitty quality), there's a small amount of the left side of the screen cut out and the aspect ratio is all wrong.

I didn't get remote with it so I had to order a replacement one - it turns out that replacement doesn't have the right button to change the aspect ratio so I'm stuck until I order another one. The replacement remote was pretty cheap so I'm not that bothered about that but my main concern is that even if I manage change the aspect ratio with a new remote, the left hand side will still be cut off.

tl;dr - Does anyone know if this will fix itself if I get a new remote to go with it and change the aspect ratio, if I need to fix it in some kind of service menu or is this set a non-starter?
