Sounds like hell to me. I can understand uniques thanks to their prices and how much people talk about them, but I can't understand rares at all because I don't have a standard to use to fall back on with them.

You should play more, if not publicly online or LAN with friends, then at least try magic finding better gear. I love magic find runs and finding better items, I just really suck at telling when an item is good or not beyond others saying "this is good".

Nothing quite like finding Tals armour with your Sorc on a unique enemy in the Durance of Hate 1 before you ever fight Meh in hell for the first time.

Grats. I had this drop for me a few weeks back on my MF sorc I was in the process of making, in the first floor of the Durance before I ever reached Hell Mephisto.

Then I spent weeks trying to find any pair of War Travelers to finish off the set and went insane because I found a dozen pairs of Aldur's boots and zero War Travelers. The game giveth, the game taketh away again.
