Anyone with deep, dark knowledge of 3000 know much about the land value bug? This is where tax revenues in a high-yield city go to zero.

In case you are wondering it happens to be the faggest thing in the simcity franchise.

I have only been able to guess a few points. The engine probably takes the average land value in the city to generate the tax yield per population, and every month it applies it to the RES size, COM size, IND size to calculate your loot. But there seem to be some shitty coding for the average land value. When it gets very high and breaches a certain threshold, like 256 or 65536 etc., it wraps to zero.

The bug affects IND zones simultaneously with the others, which is odd since you would think they had a different land and tax computation than COM and RES zones (the sludge furnaces still pay you handsome taxes for their toxic land).
