SEGA shouldn't have pulled the plug on it as quick as they did. It mogged the PS1 hard for graphics quality. Had online capability as standard.
It was too ambitious ;_;

Somewhat on topic, is it possible to listen to audio CD images on GDemu? I can't seem to find anything about this and it's something I've been very interested in since I got one

Hey guys, so My fiancee knows that I like old ass video games. She got me a Sega Dreamcast with a memory card and 2 games for my birthday.

One game is a Crazy Taxi 2 reproduction Disk. The other is an original Sonic Adventure disk. The reproduction works perfectly, but the SA disk only loads up to the game menu.

Is there any possible way the Dreamcast could have survived past 2001 and kept Sega's console division alive?

how would you have saved the Dreamcast? let's say you can't unrelease the 32x and the Saturn.

Does anyone know what are the best ways to play a Sega Dreamcast through HDMI? I have the Akura Adapter but it just died on me and I was looking for alternatives with the same quality since getting a replacement would be around $85.

What would have happened to sega, if they never made the saturn, 32 bit,or 64 bit systems. Along with less retarded business decisions, do you think sega could have made it to the modern era in console making, or do you think they would have still failed.

Hey /vr/, I just picked up my first Dreamcast. I'm having a little trouble with the VGA out right now (none of my CRTs take VGA and my HDTVs aren't playing nice with it). Would it be sacrilege to get an HDMI upscaler for this thing, and if that's a good option do you guys have any recommendations?
Other than that, just looking for any must-have games to kick off my collection.

Does anyone know where I can buy a fully-wired RGB scart cable for my Dreamcast? I don't want to risk buying through ebay in case I get scammed with just a composite-only scart, which I hear is often commonplace.

It helps if it has RCA audio additionally.

Dubs decides the 5 games I get

So I bought a dreamcast online a couple of days ago becasue it was really cheap and I remembered you could play burned games on it withouth modding. I expect to arrive tomorrow, but now that I'm digging a bit deeper I found out there are more a bunch of ways to boot back-up isos besides the most popular Utopia Boot Disc. Also, some say Utopia Boot Disc can damage games and cause glitches. What do you guys think and what do you use?

I think it's time we should make a master list of tv's (any kind) that DOES display the VGA mode of the Dreamcast, it would seriously help in deciding what tv you might want.
