Ironically, there is a pretty based big-name Mario fan who happens to be trans and has an unpopular read on Vivian in the Japanese version that differs from the one injected in the European-language localizations (one had Vivian shout "But I am proud of my life choice to become a woman now!" or something to Bedlam, which is not what was originally said at all and the English line is actually closer), and would probably mostly or fully agree with Mato's conclusions if it's the reason I suspect he skipped that article.
