>be me, 4th or 5th grade
>have 90-100 or so nes games I had received as hand me downs from multiple cousins
>start seeing ads for kirby 64
>convinced I don’t need my nes games anymore
>sell all of them with the exception of Zelda for like $80 at a rummage sale to some older nerds, never see them again
>go to toys r us, buy kirby 64 and sonic r/ sonic and knuckles/sonic cd pc pack

Admittedly kirby 64 is a great game but I still cringe had at this, good story about that Zelda cartridge too

>few years later, summer of 6th grade, borrowing Zelda to friend since I have no nes
>a week later he told me he sold it
>couple months go by, he flashes his dick at me, I never talk to him again, end up bullying the fuck out of him in highschool
>after we graduate (2010) decide to fb creep
>see him posting about a rummage sale he’s having that weekend
>picture, see some nes games, it’s the same fucking nes Zelda game, there’s a crack in it so I knew it was the same copy
>pay a friend $20 to message him ahead of time and ask if he can scoop that before the rummage, he sells it to my friend for $5


I still have it, it’s passed hands around my friend group since then a few times but I have it now and am never letting it go at this point, a hand me down from my cousin when I was 3, pic rel
