Yeah, the arcades did have pay to win mechanics but I still liked playing them. Sometimes publishers just had to make a deadline, but fortunately prices has gone down over time for more complete versions. For example Sonic 3 had to be released before the Genesis was fully dead, and now you can easily get the completed version without experimental MJ songs. It is recommended not to jump in immediately, and the game will get less expensive through volume sales and discounts from retailers wanting to clear their shelves.
