1. It's big enough for the story, setting, and missions. Pretty much every area gets used once.

2. It is bigger than the III map. A lot of it ended up being wasted on beaches and water though.

3. SA's map seems a bit too big. In that you could easily have had 2 more campaigns with two new characters to use up all the space in it.
