Clunky as a term is too subjective to quantify gameplay. I'd say it's slower-paced on foot when you're not trying to fling yourself around the stage, which I feel is where a lot of the fun comes from.

Well, that's why so many guys here are up in arms about zoomers. Zoomers can choose to easily coast through hundreds of games at their whim due to modernized emulators and mass availability of walkthroughs etc (some won't admittedly myself being one) whereas older gamers had what they could get and could only progress as they were able meaning they were more invested in the games they had. It's a sort of cultural rift in the community where some gamers want to "play" and other gamers want to "have played", where it's less about enjoying the game at your own pace and more about being able to talk about the game online which often necessitates getting through it as soon as possible and arguably enjoying it less as a result. My two cents

What emulator? What romhack? What's the crc32 of the original rom you were supposed to use with it? What's the crc32 of the rom you used before you patched it? Most romhacks don't change the location of the save data, but if it adds in new items or something it might have something the editor can't recognize and might corrupt. Need more details.

>A brand new map with 17 new levels, new bosses, music, backgrounds, enemies and more!
Neat
>A 3+ page pre-game menu to customize your experience!
>Use the SNES Mouse, Super Scope, NTT Data Pad or Multi-Tap for a new way to play!
>Play with 2/3/4/5 people, AI controlled teammates, or ships all controlled by player 1!
Ok, now I finally have a reason to get an FXPak Pro. I've always wanted more games to use the mouse.

He deserved it. That's a dumb move for anyone who isn't Axel or Minion. At least he was smart enough to have the rear view mirror on.

I greatly enjoyed The Journeyman Project Turbo. It predated Myst and had prerendered backgrounds and objects. The puzzles are more or less logical, though getting a "perfect" Ghandi bonus(solving the 3 major issues without violence) makes you wonder what the definition of violence is. I guess smashing a robot through a window is less violent than crushing it with air pressure, but what the hell do I know? Good presentation overall. The Pegasus Prime remake is neat for what it adds, but fucked up for the bullshit it forces on you, and should be avoided if possible. I can't really recommend the sequels, since they went full "use hamster on wall to launch nuclear missile" with the puzzles.

Return to Ringworld is far better than the first Ringworld game, and has a really fun card game you can access at the start of the game. Most of the puzzles use logic or reason, but there is some shit. Mazes, one REALLY long fetch quest, a puzzle with the only clue buried inside the in-game encyclopedia(which covers all the aliens and planets involved in Known Space), and one of those damned 4x4 push-button puzzles. Has alright voice acting, but ends a bit abruptly. There was supposed to be a 3rd game, but I dunno if Tsunami dropped it or went bankrupt or what.

>Go to this local arcade called Sparkles
>Brand new Gauntlet Legends cabinet
>These 3 dudes are about to play, I ask to be 4th player
>Only have a dollar left after spending most of my money on House of the Dead
>We beat the game completely

Never have I had such a bro moment with strangers. Beat the game's ass, everyone was pumped, then we parted ways. I miss that arcade.
