I'll be shocked if she's not given a major role in R2. She was voted something like the fourth most popular character in an official poll and has figures and other merch. Jessie's like the one thing Remake got right so I can't imagine them being dumb enough to just have her be for real dead while Biggs and Wedge (who nobody gives a shit about) and Zack are all alive.

Wait until you see the 1997 commercial which includes Aeris' death, stuff from the ending, and lots of other late game cutscenes. Probably because people used to not be giant faggots about spoilers who melted down and pretended like they couldn't enjoy something if the plot was spoiled.
