i'm OP. i feel basically the same way

it's just so disappointing that things didn't materialize. my hot take is that he started this as a con and then was amazed when people took him more seriously than he thought, and this freaked him out, which is why he doubled down on being the ubermensch. he just couldn't wrap his head around people believing his lie more seriously than he did. kind of interesting really but that's just me and i'm probably wrong. i'm a softie at heart

i heard a rumour that something happened to him tho. if you see his early posts he's basically just a normal dude, but one guy on the shmups forum cryptically alluded to something that happened to him that pushed him over the edge. not even the fraud stuff, something else

it really is just a shame tho, all of it. was like watching a train wreck later on but
