This isn't the first time some weird shit like this has happened, a few weeks ago all GIF files were suddenly permanently associated with GZdoom and I couldn't get firefox to associate with them again.

Computers make my fucking head hurt. I'm going to bed, at least the foundation of this weapon works now.

Actually, if you look really well, there are things on the Saturn version that didn't even make it in Shenmue 2.

Check magazines from the time when shenmue was announced on the dreamcast, and there are screenshots all over the place with stuff that are not in shenmue 1 nor 2.

Suzuki's plan was way, way, WAY out of proportion and completely out of touch. He invested all that money without and inkling that people would like the game. Goes to show how much power he had in Sega.

GTAV is possible because they went incremental, but shenmue was full-on pipe dream development. By the world's most talented team maybe, but retarded nonetheless.


And to this day, I still think it was all Suzuki's fault. Personally. It's as simple as he couldn't write a decent story to save his fucking life.

I am the most rabid shenmue fan. I not only played both games religiously, but read every single cretid to the end. Standing up and holding a military salite IIRC on Shenmue 1.

But god damn, that story was retarded and going nowhere fast. Magic sword. Those mirrors. What bullshit.

I grew up on a single parent because my father died, and my mom worked a desk job from 6-5 every day, which wasn't enough money for my sister in college, and me in high school at the time. Literally everytime I asked for a video game, she would say "It's not in our budget, (my name)."
