/vr/ - Retro Games

Hey guys, haven't been here in a while.

I've got zdoom, and I all I want to do is play a LAN game with a friend. I've started downloading "So You Want To Play Some Fucking Doom.zip", but I want to (if it's possible) to play a co op game over LAN while that beast of a zip file downloads.

How the hell do I do this? So far the regular google searches haven't lead anywhere.

Does saying names of stores count as adverts? Hopefully not, but I'll change the names a bit so if you know of the store, you'll know which one I mean.

I actually found a decent store that doesn't gouge you as much. It's in a mall off Charles St W by the Bloor subway station. Selection isn't amazing, but the prices are relatively fair. At least compared to fucking Eh&See and Gamur-ama. I actually went to those places way back when, before vintage games became more sought after. Their prices back then were fine. But now, seems they've gotten more bold in their selling prices.

Gonna go to the Kensington Market tomorrow and check out the scene there (never been there before).

Also haven't checked out Salvation Army places or many thrift stores. How's your luck been there?
