Spoken like somebody who knows jack shit about electronics. The cables exist solely to transmit signal from the video encoder in the game system, to the display device. Unless the wires are made of tin, and the sheathing is gallium arsenide, it won't fucking matter.

This is composite through a Genesis 2 and a 32X, attached to a capture card.

You can see with the Genesis 2 that there is some vertical rainbow banding. The Genesis 2 I'm using isn't the best of the variants or anything, and I haven't tricked it out. If I can be assed some time, I'll compare the Genesis 1 with it.
