You could make the argument that the videos on youtube provide some importance to vidya or are entertaining enough to be discussed here or what have you but would anyone truly like the catalog to be filled with e-celeb threads!? Absolutely not!

Enter /vr/'s brilliance! A general for talking about those e-celebs! If it's contained to one thread then the catalog's clutter-free, we don't get any stealth e-celeb threads like a game AVGN just talked about or played, and you can talk about whoever you want here without feeling like you're killing the board! I think it's GENIUS.

As for why it's not on /v/... /vr/'s a slow board so it could only really work here, plus /vr/'s one hundred percent more chillax so you wouldn't see this thread being spammed by people who don't believe this should even exist on 4chan.
