In a similar boat. I have a laptop I want to leave hooked up to my downstairs TV but don't know what my best bet would be. I tried auto booting to Steam big picture mode and using the Steam version of RetroArch for the cloud saves, but it's bringing over my gaming PC's heavier presets that are making the laptop chug. I'm trying to set up an alternate config but this is getting annoying. Might just forget about the cloud saves and do something else.
