Man, you guys should really get 4chan X, it has a thing called "recursive hiding", and what it does is that, when you hide one post, it automatically hides every post replying to it. It really helps with the whole "ignore the shitposters" thing.

Keep on practicing and eventually you will make it.
It took me about 4 months to beat it for first time with warps. Now i can run it in 30-40min without warps.
Still after 2 years cant do rat warp.

As for Ghost 'n Goblins, i beat it on my first sitting which was like 8h. Guess i lost my sanity during 2nd playthrough and i seriously doubt is it worth it.

So /vr/, Japanese or English voices?

Dude, at least play it until the first scenario. I know, the graphics/voice acting have not aged well but it is one of the best horror games ever.

I'd prefer some type of gameplay. Hell I would be even fine with one of those detective games, like the Hokkaido Murders , the one Arino played.
