>In Carnival town to fill the map because it appeases my completionist tendencies
>top part of map, bump into a group of kobolds
>run back into town
>they chase me
>somehow de-click part of my group along the way and they get killed
>other part of group still running away keeps getting chased
>get into town, npcs running and screaming
>run into random tent
>some fat guy is there telling me about burning a witch
>just a magic user, try to argue my case
>must have failed a speech check because he suddenly turns red, does a spell and turns into multiple fat guys
>he does magic that freezes entire party
>die one by one
