A good reboot and a mediocre sequel that has nothing of the original, most likely stops here

Started great and promising with the first "New" series entries, then went to shit with New Colossus and Youngblood, also probably dead
>Quake Champions
Gets less players, lack of focus and care by the devs. Dead

>TFW Doom might follow the same path
All these franchises making a comeback looked so promising but so far they went downhill not too much later.
Look,I'm hyped for Eternal but Bethesda track record has been a disaster lately. And makes me fear they could interfere with the development.
I fear that id software showed us only the good parts and hiding the bad ones.
It doesn't help how bad the Doom community became around the time Eternal was first revealed at E3 2018.
In Social Media, forums etc.
It became unbearable for me and doesn't feel the same anymore, I only found anything pleasant by the community mods(even with the occasional drama).
In the end I'm hyped and fear the day Eternal comes out. Because if it turns out to be mediocre or worse than Doom 2016(which I liked) or straight up bad, then it's going to be nuclear.
