It's great imo, but of course it's not perfect. The physics are serviceable but they're not as realistic as any GT and neither they feel as smooth as any RR. This also has the downside of making the chassis choices a bit moot.
You also can't swap the transmissions in any of the cars. Every engine has a fixed gear ratio unique to it, and that skews the balance towards japanese high revving engines with 6 gear transmissions stuck to them, since anything else is shit on the wangan otherwise. Other areas (and there's a lot of different scenarios) give you more choices.
The customization system makes the game fun, let's you do whatever you want to the car and the grinding feels nice.
The game oozes with atmosphere, has tons of variety, maybe even a bit too much, and if you can get pass the first two nights the game really comes on it's own once you start moving in different areas and getting more parts.
Wish it was 3-4 chapter longer desu. Serviceable driving, lot's of great stuff crammed in, and it's genuinely fun despite the driving not beiing 10/10.
