I never had an issue. Maybe I adapted but I'm quite skilled at these games.

I wouldn't say that they're masters, but DKC1 and DKC2 have some really great levels. Even DKC3 has some cool ones in later worlds of the game.

Simon's Quest was discussed in this thread and funny enough, it too was a game that you needed Nintendo Power for, or tips from friends.

Except it was far worse. I'm bringing it up because it just was how the era all too often treated its players.

Okay maybe not the last one, but either way you can get around this by not being a proud mother fucker and just using a guide or asking around to stimulate discussion on it. It's not a very big issue but of course this is 4chan and everything is a huge deal.
