What about using something like a plasma screen? Yeah, I know image burn in can be a problem, and games would be particularly prone to causing it, with various HUDs layering in, but what about other factors?

Older screens would at least be far less likely to rely on HDMI ... I guess that would be a significant problem if some people would want to use it with an ODROID.
