Thanks, I'm not the anon who originally asked about it though. But I'm happy to try to help if he or anyone else has trouble running it.

The main problem for me (apart from figuring out how the demo version worked) was that the disk wasn't bootable. So I had to start Neko Project with a PC-98 DOS disk and then in DOS navigate to the Multipaint disk and run it from there.
