Thank you very much for the appraisal. This was supposed to be the first in a set of 6 WADs with branching progression, lite-Starfox-style.
The damaging floor exit leads along the "bad route", where the next map is jail.wad. The 3-key tower leads along the "good route" to rise.wad. This is also why the weapons progress the way they do—the bad route gives you RL and SSG sooner, but you only get BFG on good route. However, due to the size of just one of these maps, all that bullshit I just typed is getting wiped out for a second draft and this is going into fucking tomb.wad.
Thank you so much for letting me know about that platform problem! Somehow in my testing, I never rode that lift back up I guess! (Or forgot to fix it. No excuse!)
I'm currently working on maps for 512 Linedefs, and I'm learning a lot about texture variety! I plan to get back to this six-map set after the 512LD CP finishes. Thanks again for the appraisal!
