N64 was certainly not the ideal system for solo gamers. Of course many of its multiplayer titles have a reputation for ruining friendships.

The first Mario Party has one of the best soundtracks that nobody ever talks about.

Seriously, just about every track is great, and it sounds like the spiritual successor to Super Mario RPG's soundtrack, yet I've never heard anybody even talk about it, let alone praise it.

Rules are
>Start By Taking 3 Shots
>Lose a minigame take a drink
>Win two mini games in row take a drink
>Win three minigames in a row take a shot and More Shots if keep winning
>Lose a Co-op mini game take two drinks
>Land on a Red circle Take a drink
>Lose a bowser battle game (not roulette thing is this even before MP4?) take a shot
>Be on the receiving end of a chance time take a shot.
>Get a star everyone drinks
>Get a Hidden block take a shot
>Use boo to steal coins both parties drink for the duration of the coin sateal
>Use boo to take a star both parties take a shot
>Shot on the 5th turn warning
>Everyone but person in last takes a shot at end.
>Lose 1v1 duel take a shot
>Losers of battle game tell others to drink
>Press the button to make your character do some annoying noise drink 3 times because it's annoying

I've only played MP5 on GCN, let's see how well I suck. Server's up, type in

Haven't seen too much discussion of these games on this board, but I've always been a big fan of the N64 ones (even 3, which most people despise). I've always thought it's the best of the Mario spin-offs (Tennis, Golf, ect.) and it's great when you get 4 people together. Really, the only flaw is every single game is the same.
