Anyone else notice that Link's Awakening is a lot like Majora's Mask?

They're both set in a parallel world that may have never actually existed, and have a darker tone than the game they're a sequel to. They both have a villain who is more of an arcane "force" than an actual personality, and finally, the apocalypse is a major theme of both games. Except in Majora's Mask you're preventing the apocalypse, and in Link's Awakening, you cause it.
