So, the N64 has been a notoriously difficult console to accurate emulate, but what is the state of N64 emulation like nowadays?

I've tried this graphics plugin which was released at the start of this year:
https://github.com/gonetz/GLideN64/releases
and I'm using project64. I've only tried a handful of games, but they all seemed to run without problems. This graphics plugin even lets you play in unstretched 16:9 resolution, although that might cause graphic errors and weirdness, but still looks pretty good anyway.

I've only done a handful of testing so I'm asking you if N64 emulation has come a long way or if it's still flawed in some ways that I didn't notice.
