most vocal critics are retarded purists that wouldn't touch gzdoom just because its rng is different, so obviously even back when BD was less intrusive something like reloading would have made it a no-go for them.

I do like a lot of stuff in it, but then Mark does typical modder bullshit by fucking with things he shouldn't, like replacing textures (=>changing the look of user maps), adding dozens of weapons and generally shitting up the balance.
then there's also a dislike of the guy personally or of his fanbase, which is understandable, but not really an argument.
