This was the longest short game or shortest long game that I ever play.

I like how every level matter but ironically hated all of the grinding. I have so much conflict on this game. I would say that I like it personally but I wouldn't dare recommend it unless you are a fan of the series and wish to see how it got started even then I would recommend the remake.

Anyone else have a game that they acknowledge aged badly or just plain out shit from the start but still say that they liked it?

Even as a person first RPG Super Mario RPG simply done everything much better and is actually a fun game while doing so.

I have a confession to make: I've never played a Dragon Warrior/Quest game in my life.

It seems interesting, though. What's a good game to start off with?

Picked this up today at a flea market. I know it's a little grindy, but I can deal with that.

What should I expect? Any tips? Has it aged poorly?

Was there any NES game with music comparable to Dragon Warrior 1? What about Easter eggs/glitches/any hidden content? I never found any whatsoever.
>one of my favorite NES games
>still own a working NES and countless classic games/systems
>under the age of 20
Id like to thank my parrents for being awesome video game lovers.
