Well, they kept IX, V and VI at the top. Even if, bit by bit, FFV slipped to second place, it's still up there, only second to FFIX, and it's not like IX isn't lighthearted, at least in its general tone. It's not like they liked IX just for Garnet's assets; conversely, one could claim that /vr/ like FFV because it's about a dood who gets to cosplay with two princesses and a child.

If anything, this poll has demonstrated that /v/ and /vr/ have similar tastes in Final Fantasy games.
