This level (and episode) starts out fucking HARD, you're really on the spot, once you wake the cacos and start shooting, imps and pinkies teleport into the front yard, so you can't exactly fall back there, and in back of the front hallway there's a mancubus who'll limit your capacity for movement, in an ever shrinking envelope of death.

So the logical thing is to blaze through, which puts you either in a stable (?) with pinkies crowding you and guns pointing down at you from above, or you run out into a backyard, where there's more pinkies, more shotguns pointing at you, a whole row of imps, and even more cacos.
To top it of, there's not much weapons or ammo early in the map, nor is there very much room at all for falling back or to just move and dodge.

The margins are very slim, and this is on easy. I'm not saying it's really bad or anything, but it doesn't give you much room for tactical creativity. There's nowhere to run, there's nowhere to take cover, there's nowhere to dodge, and there's little to fight with, it's like most of the map is designed with the thought of basically one exact strategy and path, because you just run from one frying pan to another frying pan, then another frying pan, if you didn't die in the last one.
