I come to /vr/ for my main squeeze on getting stuff like missed things such as trivia or other miscellaneous knowledge on my favorite retro, and even learn about stuff I've never played. SNES is my favorite console and I know it sits well with just about everybody. I bought an sd2snes about a year back and it got me feeling like a kid again not playing on emulator for the first time in ages. Before that I had to often sell alot of my games just to make rent meet and to move because I've had a chaotic and difficult upbringing, causing things to get destabilized pretty quickly. I like that threads here continue you for a while most of the time and often enough the trolls stay out of here unless someone from /v/ isn't getting enough attention there and they come to shit up the board. The only threads I don't really check out are things pertaining to atari and earlier, stuff like that because its beyond my time. I'm 26 now and I still don't really mesh with newer games. Out of new games and anything non /vr/ my favorites/only things I've been excited by in the past few years are: doom 2016, modern warfare 2, overwatch (for a while, until it was patched to shit), and the dark souls series. I played melee competitively for a while but had to stop due to monetary means and making it back from work after 7pm most of the time, and having to wake up pretty early so I could never really make the time to continue going. I come /vr/ because I realize my interest in gaming and the things I've experienced through it all as a kid and teenager into adult growing up never left my imagination and only fueled my creativity. I'm an amateur game dev and I've been using rpgmaker since I was a kid in dreams of one day making my own game and its sorta steadily working. I've been getting better at it. I continue playing retro so I'll continue discussing retro so I can get those tid-bits of information, soul, glory, and magic that made these games growing up still timeless.
