long shot but here goes:

I left my CRT TV unplugged for 7 days while I was away on vacation, come back and try to play some Saturn games, only the TV will not power up at all, anyone have a clue as to what's gone wrong internally? It's not the wall socket, since I tried another socket in the next room.

I'm running on this RCA Colortrack TV I found on the curb months ago, and I've got a case of visible wavebanding. Is there anything that can be done (using an external degaussing coil, etc), or is this a characteristic I'm gonna have to accept?
