Had a bit of a realization a while back, why do chinese manufacturers still chase after high resolution displays for x86 handhelds? Anything above 1080p seems like complete overkill when the battery life is going to be less than 2 hours at 1200p, or god forbid 1600p. At least with 1080p panels you can lower the internal resolution to 720p and not notice much of a loss in detail due to the smaller screen size on a handheld, and 800p panels seem to be a sweetspot for maximizing battery life on these handhelds.

Its good, but it's very bulky. It's noticeable when you're traveling, the device and the case took up a fair amount of space in my backpack.
Its pretty comfortable for my gorilla hands though, its still very energy efficient at lower wattages even compared to current or upcoming handhelds so it's still a good travel companion, and you really won't find a better deal at $350 refurbished or $400 new for the lowest end model. Plus since it's basically a PC, you can buy a cheap dock off Amazon, hook it up and use it as a low-end desktop with great upscaling options, or for your entertainment center in your living room.

Is the Win600 really that bad? I'm on the lookout for a "budget" x86 device as a companion to the Steam Deck, which I like but it can be a bit bulky with its travel case, plus its annoying trying to get some GOG games to play nice with it. Sometimes they don't boot up at all like Konami's PC ports of SH4/MGS1, other times they work but the controls are finicky like for Powerslave Exhumed/Quake Enhanced. I'm not looking for a replacement device, just a companion for lower end retro/indie games.
I'm just torn between maybe grabbing the 3020e model or the Aya Neo Air 8gb because I hear with the Win600 you can at least upgrade the RAM on top of the SSD. Plus the base Air is on sale while the new "Air Plus" really doesn't seem that budget.
