>how do you decide what game you want to commit to?
I pick random games from a variety of genres, play for an hour or two and then decide if I continue or drop it, when I feel burned out I go back to games I can always replay.
Honestly, I've dropped so many games that I consider stopping and just replay the ones I've already listed for the rest of my life.
I have enough for a lifetime anyway and some games like Harvest Moon can take hundreds of hours on just one playthrough, score attack games can be constantly replayed hoping to get a slightly higher score etc.
