Whatever you do, do not, and I mean DO NOT play the vanilla version of FFXII. It is by far the slowest fucking game I have ever played in my entire goddamn life and the vast majority of the game's best weapons can only be acquired through insane RNG. It was by far the most questionable 150 hours I have ever invested on anything in my entire life.
