I had read in Dean Takahashi's book (Opening the Xbox) that during the development of the console, Seamus Blackley openly told Bill Gates that the Xbox would not run on Windows because it was crap.

Is the original xbox becoming a collector's item? The price is going up pretty fast.

Both my Xbox drives are broken/quit so I don't see the point of collecting for it. I already have ~50 games that are now functionless. I have to redownload them all. I'll never see the point in collecting disc-based games when the drives fail like this.

Saddest thing is I have the first ~55 OXM discs and you can't exactly find all of those online nor would I really want to dedicate ~200gb of HDD space storing them even if I could.
