Ask the devs themselves, they probably assume most users know how to emulate games and research what are the best cores for the games they want to play and how to play them.

Was never being discussed, on account of I don't use Duck or Swanstation. There's no "again" here.

Because afaik the author of Duckstation doesn't work on the Swanstation core for reasons I'm don't know about. Again, I would recommend using the Beetle cores in retroarch, of which there are two flavors, software, and hardware accelerated with some fancier options.
