Ok so partially thanks to the Zniggy thread, we were debating about NES homebrew ideas and one I had was porting Shamus, but two main problems here. 1. How do you move and shoot diagonally with the D-pad and 2. Yeah, see pic. Not enough sprites for all those enemies. They're actually made with char sprites on C64 and Atari, but the NES's color attribute system makes it a bitch to do that.

Maybe a Master System port would be better instead? You can use char sprites all you want with no stupid restrictions and its controller has a D-pad with eight directions.
