I paid the ransom in hopes to free Klonoa, as I did for the Darkstalkers too, and Amazon sent me the Euro version which I don't even have the system for. I hope the hostage holders will do right unlike Capcom.

I keep falling for that trick though. I wanted more of the series and there isn't much else. I also think they sabotage the efforts too by overpricing the interest gauge. Vampire Resurrection was 1200 Microsoft Points when the average title was 800MSP and I remember Raziel and Kain were 400MSP for just character reskins, not even scenarios or additional voice/story. I held out on getting those until they were discounted 50% or more which was well past the deadline for the interest gauge, demonstrating I do have interest but only held back by market forces. Sadly this recession will probably hamper the same trial for Klonoa.

Yeah, I am still not happy they chose Pac-Man over Klonoa to be in Smash despite Klonoa fitting in better.

They are not as amazing experiences as the two console games, but still enjoyable games to play. They are 2D puzzle platformers, nothing difficult, but still charming.

The GBA games are simple but enjoyable. The puzzles are not difficult, but they nice diversions in small chunks of playtime.

I still regret passing up on the US version of the original just because I already had the Japanese version back then. Played the game enough, and had lots of fun.

There were a lot of cool articles in magazines about the games. I remember the 2nd game reviewed extremely well too. However, I do not remember many ads, but there were plenty of gaming press on the series.

Such a fleeting time of great games. I don't think the conditions can be replicated to get more of these kinds of games anymore, so it seems.

Nothing really, they are pretty enjoyable games. I guess I wish Klonoa was Namco's mascot over pac-man for more appearances.

It was the killer app, system seller for the Wonderswan to me. It is a generic puzzle platformer, but charming enough to warrant a playthrough.

Forgot the Wii editions and Klonoa Heroes for the pic. I would have settled for a Smash appearance, but they went with Pac-Man instead. Last I saw was a cameo in Namco X Capcom (no idea if they showed up in the later ones with Sega added to the mix). If they are going to HD them up, I hope they do it well.

Maybe it is nostalgia, but for me it was finding a pretty good game I had not really heard much of at the time. Always wished Klonoa made it into Smash instead of PacMan (since that's on Klonoa's cap), because I was pretty amped to see Klonoa in the Namco X Capcom trailer/OP.
