You wait hours for some patch to download, fight through control latency, suffer through hours of badly written cutscenes in a story more interested in diversity than world building. Whoever thought that finding journals and audio logs was a good idea to flesh out a game's world should be murdered. Sometimes I play an absolute gem like Yakuza 0 but lately I just find myself reverting back to what I've always liked.

That's part of the reason why the only games I've truly loved in the past decade are the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3. I still think the original RE3 was better, though.
