Me too. There was just something sombering about the long quest. You started out with all of your friends and slowly they all start to leave, vanish, or fade out of the story until its just you and karen. It just fucking hurt feeling like you were losing friends and allies, people who cared for you.

I didn't want those feelings as a child. I couldn't handle the losses.

no, I didn't necessarily think X1 was difficult, but the last boss admittedly did give me some problems. especially since it didn't refill your health between stages and you had no recovery time.
