Is there any other game out there with similar mechanics?
I.e. a 3D shooter without possibility to fire and move at the same time but with auto-aim, making the core game mechanic about timed dodging rather than aiming?

Vanquish is often mentioned as a spiritual successor and Vanquish is great, but it's a very different game.

I had a playstation 2 and only discovered PN.03 when I got a Wii and started playing backward compatible games. It is one of few sixth generation games I still go back and play today.
